台北國際電腦展今(2)日盛大開展，包含總統馬英九以及台北市電腦公會理事長出席開幕典禮，典禮後並共同戴起華碩智慧手錶ZenWatch象徵展期正式開幕，不過童子賢會後被問到平常是否有戴智慧手錶習慣時，他認為穿戴裝置目前還是小學到中學的階段，不像電腦是研究所要念博士班，等到穿戴手錶充一次電可以用一個月時，穿戴手錶就已到大學階段。

童子賢表示，電子產品都有發展階段，筆電已經到了研究所階段，準備要念博士班，過去筆電受到平板影響，成長力道一度趨於緩和，可是零組件有許多新技術演化與進步，讓筆電產品可以往更輕薄的方向發展，為筆電產品帶來新的成長動能，將從碩士班往博士班的方向發展。
